Of course mesmer and dervish will work.
use these skills
[build prof=r][melandru's resilience][ebon escape][/build]
Follow the guide. It's easy; just don't die!

I recently tried and successful created an r3 survivor Warrior using a build that consisted of those two skills and one bonder with 16 Protection, 10 healing, rest in divine favor, using Mantra of Inscriptions, Balthazar's Spirit, Life Barrier, Life Bond, Succor, and Mending.
Real easy, just use Dreadnought's Insignias, a +armor vs earth damage shield, +7 vs elemental damage melee weapon, and aggro a max of 24 at a time. Pop scroll and lay some kegs.

Hi guys I plan to create a monk and do this, what would be the fastest way to get to doing this farm? Just get run? Also, what skills should the monk use, and is it ok just to use vekk/ogden/gwen

hey, i love this idea and came across it just after planning on making my new warrior a leg survivor ^^
just wondering if anyone could say for certain that it'd work with mystic regeneration? my guess is that it would, but can never be too sure when it comes to survivor, right? :P
Again, great build there ASF, keep 'm coming

I've been using this method with */D instead of ranger. Works very well.
Dump as much attribs into earth prayers as you can and take Mystic regen. With so many enchants on you, you never have less than +10 pips, it's fast casting and out lasts recharge.
A dervish tome is a lot cheaper than an elite ranger one.

So, before I try this (I am using R/Mo); how many enemies can I get at one time? I'm sure its not all of one side then all of the other.

I take 0 damage as a 55 with this build. I'm a Mo/Me, but as you can see, i have zero skills on the skill bar, so obviously it works with any prof.
Step 1) Have 55 hp
Have all your heroes cast on you in this order:
1) Protective Bond
2) Life Bond
3) Have the 1 hero with Life Barrier cast it on you (in addition to life bond).
4) Have the Heroes cast Balthazar's Spirit on themselves.
If you are a monk or a mesmer, you could do it with just 2 heroes by casting Protective Bond and Balthazar's Spirit on yourself (using signet of illusions with at least 13 illusion magic if you're a mesmer).
Also, they deal earth damage.....which means if you are hurting for energy, you can go */Me and use Mantra of Earth.....however, you still must be able to counter the degen.
FYI, while testing this out on my monk, I came up with an idea for a solo Vaettir HM farming build for 55 Mesmers.
16 Illusion Magic, 15 Domination Magic, the rest in inspiration magic
Signet of Illusions
Protective Spirit
Shield of Absorbtion
Healing Breeze
Shatter Hex (hits them all for 120 armor ignoring damage).
Blessed Aura
Mantra of Earth
Last skill slot is optional (Light of Deldrimor would work well)
Cast Blessed Aura on yourself while under SoI so you get the full 37% enchant boost + the 20% from your weapon. This will allow you to maintain Shield of Absorption so you take no damage.
Maintain enchants with Signet of Illusions, Protective Spirit, Shield of Absorption and Healing Breeze.
Just starting, you can use shatter hex without it being covered by SoI since it still does 120 damage. Once you get more comfortable with the build, you can skip Prot Spirit every now and then to hit with Shatter Hex under SoI.
You should take zero damage, and healing breeze should give you +1 health regen after they cast all their hexes on you. This means you can aggro them in 2 large groups rather than lots of small groups. This also means Mesmers can keg farm like sins/eles.....just replace shatter hex with shielding hands and you're golden.

I just wanted to update this quickly since it's a survivor thread and I dont want there to be any confusion......
Your heroes WILL lose occasional energy through Protective Bond which will not be able to be mitigated by Essence Bond if you take zero damage. To remedy this, your heroes will need BIP and healing. I'm still working on it......
I figured out why they cause heroes to lose energy....... The energy loss on heroes is due to the skill accumulated pain. Every time it is cast, for some reason

Pretty much....unless you can do your own damage (which is entirely possible).
I would personally recommend AoE degeneration. Just keep them next to a wall on their left side, and they won't scatter.
Like this.....except using heroes to keep you alive so anyone can do it.
